About the Suzram Team

We're a small team building hypoallergenic mouth tape for sensitive sleepers — and writing about the breathing, snoring, and sleep topics our customers ask us about every week.

Who We Are

Suzram is a sleep wellness brand focused on people whose skin reacts to standard medical tape. We started the company because we ran into the problem ourselves: most mouth tape on the market uses harsh adhesives that work for the first night and irritate sensitive skin by night three. We wanted something gentler.

Our team includes product researchers, content editors, and customer support specialists. We are not medical professionals — and we're explicit about that throughout our content. Our role is to translate what's already known about sleep and breathing into clear, practical information, and to make products we'd want to use ourselves.

What We Cover

Our editorial focus is on:

  • Snoring and sleep-disordered breathing in adults
  • Mouth breathing versus nasal breathing patterns during sleep
  • Dry mouth, sore throat, and other symptoms tied to nighttime breathing
  • Sleep environment, sleep position, and bedroom hygiene
  • Mouth tape safety, materials, and best practices for sensitive skin

How We Approach Content

Every article on Suzram goes through this process:

  1. Research from established sources. We start with consumer health references like Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, and the Sleep Foundation, and check our claims against current sleep medicine guidelines.
  2. Drafting with AI assistance, editing by humans. We use AI tools to help with initial drafts, but every piece is reviewed, edited, and fact-checked by a human before publication. We think AI is a useful research and drafting tool — not a replacement for editorial judgment.
  3. Clear medical limits. Articles covering medical topics include explicit notes on when to consult a healthcare provider. We never present our content as a substitute for a doctor's evaluation, especially for serious symptoms like sleep apnea, pregnancy complications, or anything involving infants.
  4. Honest about products. When we mention our own mouth tape, we're explicit about who it's for and who it's not for. We won't recommend it to people with sleep apnea, severe nasal congestion, or any condition where it's not appropriate — even when that means losing a sale.

Why We Care About This

Mouth breathing during sleep is one of those issues that's surprisingly common, surprisingly under-discussed, and surprisingly fixable for many people. Half of our customer emails are some variation of "I tried mouth tape from another brand and broke out — is yours different?" or "My partner's snoring is wrecking our marriage, where do I even start?"

We started writing in-depth content because the existing material online is either too thin to actually help, or too commercial to be trusted. We try to land somewhere in the middle: thorough enough to actually answer the question, honest enough to tell you when our product isn't the answer.

Editorial Standards

If we get something wrong, we correct it and update the "Last Reviewed" date on the article. If you spot an error, disagree with something we wrote, or want to push back on a claim, please email us at info@suzram.com. We read every message.

We do not accept payment for product mentions, and we do not run sponsored content disguised as editorial articles. Any product we recommend besides our own is recommended because we've genuinely found it useful or because it has solid evidence behind it.
